1st Chestertown Taste of the Town-The 10th Annual Taste of the Town (& County) will be Sunday, May 1, 2016. Noon to 3pm. Spend an afternoon sampling signature dishes from Chestertown & Kent County's finest restaurants and caterers. Featured dishes range from nouvelle gourmet to regional classics such as Maryland Crab Soup. Diners will want to come early to view the Paint the Town artwork exhibited in Fountain Park.



6th- ZERBINI FAMILY CRUISE: Sponsored by the Rock Hall Lions Club, the Zerbini Family Circus is a fun filled family event, camel and pony rides a wonderfully entertaining show and much more.  Located at the Civic Center in Rock Hall. Shows starting at 5pm & 7:00pm.




7th- GALENA’S DOGWOOD FESTIVAL:  9am-5pm  Fun for all ages.  This is our  annual festival and it will take place throughout Galena.



14th- ROCK HALL GARDEN CLUB PLANT SALE:  Located on Main Street from 9:00am-12 noon.  Annual sale of home grown plants plus garden treasures and tasty baked goods. Proceeds are used for the beautification of Rock Hall.

5th-18th National Music Festival - At Washington College- National Music Festival - At Washington College

The National Music Festival at Washington College brings together inspiring mentors and the next generation of gifted musicians. All apprentices receive full scholarships. For two weeks each June, these musicians live & work together, presenting over 35 concerts —from solo recitals to large symphony orchestra performances with chorus. Composers range from Brahms to Britten, Cab Calloway & Duke Ellington to Louis Gottschalk & Phanos Dymiotis. Concert tickets $10-$20. Rehearsals–over 200 of them-are always free & open to all. Season passes $200 til 12/31/15 then $225.

Opened to residents of Rock Hall or those children who live in an area that have or are eligible to attend school in the Rock Hall area. Baby contest from newborn to age four. The Kent County Fair is a traditional county fair featuring agriculture education, 4-H exhibits, great food and so much more. New exhibits, games, attractions and vendors are added each year. There is something to do for everyone. Highlights include great music each evening, the greased pig contest, the 4-H auctions, corn hole tournament, youth turkey calling contest and animal exhibits.
The fairgrounds is a former US Army Nike facility with barracks, guard shack and the base office, which also serves as the Fair office, still in place. Enjoy a day in scenic Kent County.



 22nd &23rd - BAYSHORE CAMPGROUND CONCERT WEEKEND: Bayshore Campground’s annual band weekend. This event is for campers only. This is not open to the general public.  To attend you must have a tent or RV site at Bayshore Campground, LLC.  Make your reservation soon! Spots are limited!  $40 per site for both concerts.

20th - FISH FRY AT WESLEY CHAPEL:  Wesley Chapel UM Church will be hosting its 53rd annual fish fry. This year the dinner has been changed to Saturday, and serving time will be 1-6pm. This is a real Eastern Shore Fish Fry. Eat in or take out.

11TH- REMEMRANCE DAY CEREMONY:  7:10pm  The town in conjunction with the Galena Fire Company will hold their Annual September 11th Remembrance Ceremony at the GVFC. All are welcome to remember the horrendous day where innocent people, Fire Fighters, Police and EMS lost their lives. Please come to remember them and honor them.

30th-Oct 1- Chestertown Harry Potter Festival

     Grab your wand, hop on your broom, and come for a weekend of magic at the third annual Chestertown Harry Potter Festival on September 30 to October 1, 2016. Explore our colonial river town and join us for spectacular activities and events, for children and adults—wizards and muggles alike. The festival aims to celebrate the spirit and theme of Harry Potter while promoting our local community and its arts.

Sultana’s Downrigging Weekend Tall Ship and Wooden Boat Festival has evolved into one of the largest annual Tall Ship gatherings on the East Coast. Visitors to festival can expect to see a waterfront packed with ships, schooners, and wooden boats; performances by world-class musicians; lectures by nationally recognized authors and filmmakers; plenty of opportunities to go sailing as part of a fleet of “Tall Ships”; and the chance to spend the weekend in Chestertown – one of America’s best preserved historic seaports.
