Dear Campers:
The 2007 season is not far away. I want to take the time to inform all of you of the winter progress that has taken place to improve Bayshore Campground. The 2007 season has started off on a great note for me. I have been graced with the professionalism of two new employees that will help bridge the communication barrier between the campers and myself.
Meagan Betty has redesigned and launched our new website www.bayshorecamping.com . Within the site we have provided a message board. This will give me the opportunity to post messages to campers from a satellite location. This will also provide an opportunity for campers to communicate with each other and myself. This Blog will be checked and updated weekly with the start of the new 2007 season.
Kathleen Cox is now in charge of all the accounting, meter readings, bookings and array other miscellaneous duties. I believe that you will be very satisfied with the services Meagan and Kathleen will provide Bayshore Campground.
Listed are a number of other changes that have taken place or are in the process of being worked on:
- Tree removal in the SECOND and THIRD row. We have removed all but one cotton wood, with expectations to finish this project next year.
- Grade work will continue on the SECOND row.
- We have connected the two ponds with an underground pipe. Hopefully this will eliminate the drainage problem the SIDE ROW has bee plagued with.
- Planting will continue throughout the campground. I appreciate all the watering help from the campers over the summer months.
- We are beginning to phase in new models of electric meters. This project will be on going, year after year.
- Leaves were removed from the drainage ditch and the first three rows. This will occur every year.
- Plans for the new bathhouse will be submitted to the county for approval by the end of March with hopes that the completion of the new bathhouse will be done by the 2008 season.
I would also like to thank all of you for taking care of your sites. Bayshore Campground received many compliments form transients and locals over the past season. Together we will continue to improve the quality of Bayshore Campground for your pleasure.
See you soon.
